The images in Experiments Useful for The Cure of Men's Minds are iris prints produced under the direction of the artist at Art Works in Pasadena, California.The book and portfolio box were produced by hand by John Balkwill at the Lumino Press in Santa Barbara, California. The book was typeset in Adobe Garamond and Trajan and printed letterpress from photopolymer plates on a Vandercook Universal proofing press.The clamshell box is covered in Asahi bookcloth imported from Japan. All materials used in printing and bookbinding are of archival quality.
Experiments Useful for The Cure of Men's Minds was produced in an edition limited to fifty portfolios, signed and numbered by the artist. Ten hors commerce copies were also produced.Within the portfolio box, each print is signed and numbered by the artist and is protected by an archival sleeve which is printed in letter press with the name of the print, its number in sequence and a small stylized imprint.
